I want my kids to grow up understanding that it takes hard work and effort to make money. I also want to be in a position to help them along the way. Sometimes it is hard to tell my 3 year old that he can’t have something because I take delight in buying him treats and they are usually dirt cheap.
It brings my heart joy, though, when I take him to the toy store with his hard saved money and he picks out a toy and pays with pride at his accomplishment.
